Ivanka Trump went for total glitz and glamour for her Sunday wedding to New York Observer publisher Jared Kushner. She called on one of fashion’s top designers, Vera Wang, to create her gown.
Donning a dress inspired by Grace Kelly, Trump, 27, walked down the aisle in front of 500 guests on the grounds of New Jersey’s Trump International Golf Club.
The new bride knew just what she wanted in terms of her big-day look. “She definitely had a feeling for a dignified gown without sacrificing youth or charm,” designer Wang told a popular bridal magazine of Trump’s vision for the gown, which included layers of handmade lace to add dimension.

It’s a ‘done deal’ but not until 2011.
That would be Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The plan is that by the time the Queen celebrates her historic Diamond Jubilee in 2012 Kate will be on the palace balcony at her side as a fully-fledged princess.

Didn’t we always think Archie would pick Betty?
Any Archie comic fans out there? We all used to read these when we were younger — and Archie and the gang were just kids, too — but we’ve all grown up, and it looks like Archie is ready to take the plunge.
Could it be true? Will Archie finally put one of Hollywood’s longest-running love triangles to rest? How will Betty react when she hears the news? Will there be a big shoot-out at the wedding?
A new comic is due out on September 1, and its title is “Archie Marries Veronica Part 1: The Proposal.”

Wedding Reception
Decorations
Brides are choosing centerpieces that are in their wedding color theme but they are all unique and different sizes. This gives the guest tables a standout look and less conformed.
Unique vase fillers that brides are now using are glass marbles, water pearls, shells, water absorbing crystals, beads and fresh fruits such as lemons & limes.

Is nothing female sacred?
The notion of a man slipping a ring on his loved one’s finger may date back in legend to the Austrian Archduke Maximillian, who gave Mary of Burgundy a diamond ring to celebrate their forthcoming marriage in 1477, but it was only in the last century that the De Beers company made the gesture truly mainstream.
Is an engagement ring for a man just a trend?
Jeweler H Samuel claims to have almost sold out of its “Tioro”, which is a titanium-and-diamond ring with blue stripes around the band.
Does the concept seem to be a bit of a joke? ”It makes a lot of sense,” says Dr Susan Speer, senior lecturer in psychology at Manchester University. “I think it’s a good thing – it evens things out. It’s certainly not a sign of emasculation. Why should it only be women who wear a symbol of their commitment?”
