Big Fat Wedding Complaint #2

signature_wedding_cocktailsCASH BAR
While your wedding is not meant to be a “free for all”, nobody likes a cash bar. It’s essentially saying, “pay to celebrate our love”! If your budget is tight, consider pouring lower-priced wine and beer, with top shelf options available for purchase. Another great way to save is …with a “signature drink” in lieu of a full bar…it’s fun, festive and friendlier on but budget.

2010 Wedding Trend

Backyard Weddings at Home

When predicting 2010 Wedding Trends, it seems almost too obvious to talk about the economy’s impact.

Money is certainly not the only influence on style, fashion, or tradition. In fact, couples are getting more creative and feel more freedom to make unique choices, including back yard weddings.

Back yard weddings allows you to have a more intimate affair and can add your own creative touch on a personal level and allows you to make more casual, less expensive choices.

With this ring, I’ve just become mengaged?

Is nothing female sacred?

The notion of a man slipping a ring on his loved one’s finger may date back in legend to the Austrian Archduke Maximillian, who gave Mary of Burgundy a diamond ring to celebrate their forthcoming marriage in 1477, but it was only in the last century that the De Beers company made the gesture truly mainstream.

Is an engagement ring for a man just a trend?

Jeweler H Samuel claims to have almost sold out of its “Tioro”, which is a titanium-and-diamond ring with blue stripes around the band.

Does the concept seem to be a bit of a joke?  ”It makes a lot of sense,” says Dr Susan Speer, senior lecturer in psychology at Manchester University. “I think it’s a good thing – it evens things out. It’s certainly not a sign of emasculation. Why should it only be women who wear a symbol of their commitment?”
